(More customer reviews)We use Frontline to kill and prevent fleas on our pets but we adopted a pregnant cat and did not want to use chemicals on her. Instead we used this flea comb to remove her fleas. It worked fine, she didn't mind the combing and the flea would be stuck in the comb long enough for me to dip it into a bowl of water mixed with organic soap. You must do this repeatedly over time as the eggs are not removed and will hatch. When the kittens came, we used the comb to remove any fleas that had survived and found there way onto them. The comb was easy to use and comfortable to hold, seems well designed. Fleas are fast and it can be a challenge to catch them with the comb, and sometimes they jump off before you can get them into the soap bowl, so keep the bowl close to the cat. None of the cats have long hair, just short to medium, so I can only comment on that fur type. I can see it being useful later, too. Even on meds, fleas can hop a ride on your dogs legs and make it into your home, so this is a good thing to have in your pet grooming tool bag.
