(More customer reviews)I picked this shampoo up on clearance at my local pet store thinking that it wasn't so very different than the dog shampoos.Well, so far, I've still not tried it on my dog, but I did get a hold of my 10 year old tom cat who has hairball issues.He was so bad this spring that I had to take two eveings and shave mats off him and he still found one to rip out.I hoped giving him a bath would be the first step in saving him the torture of going though that again.

Well, he hated the bath and gave me several dirty looks, but no life threatening gouges, so I figured I'm still ahead on that one.Once he was bathed and blow dried, he started looking like his normal puffy self.He's let me brush him many times since then and I haven't gotten much hair off.I think most of it seemed to come off that fateful day in the shower.Now he stands on my front porch step and purrs when I walk by.I think he must be happier.

Now, to wrangle the dog into the shower...

(More customer reviews)The FURminator works much better than any other brand pet comb we tried (including Hartz and the ionizing types) for removing loose cat hair. We have used this for over a year now and can see a real difference in the amount of hair in the house (and in the vacuum cleaner) when we go for any length of time without using it.

Pros:
+ Solid build with a good grip and metal teeth
+ Gets a lot of hair with each pass
+ Easy to clean
+ The cats like it to be used on them

Cons:
- Somewhat pricey, but it should last a very long time and it keeps the hairballs down

The FURminator is a great product that really performs as advertised!
