(More customer reviews)I have had animals all of my life and I am over 50.I have seen reviews of this product as being dangerous.That is far from the truth.I have been using it 7 years on cats 12 weeks or older and never have had a bad reaction. I am really glad to see Sergeant's Squeeze on available on line.

(More customer reviews)I should have read the reviews before I used this product for my cat.I've decided to give this product a try instead of the costly prescription product.My cat at firstdidn't react and seemed fine.Next morning I found cat hair all over the house.During the night he tried to lick it off and chunks of hair fell out even at the areas where the product was not applied to.Fortunately, I applied the product where he can't reach it.I washed off the product.Hair is still falling out.

I recommend purchasing from PSC pets dot com, as their prices are comparable, and their shipping cost is fair.

This item is a under the 1 lb rate, so should cost under $4.00 to ship, unlike the seller here on Amazon I noted is shipping for $6.50.

What a rip off. That caused me to do a search for compare prices online.

(More customer reviews)There have been great advances in pet care in recent years, and among the very best is Capstar, a small pill that starts working in 30 minutes. Within 4 hours for dogs, and 6 hours for cats, tests have proven that up to 98% of adult fleas on the animal are no longer a problem, because their little flea souls have departed from their grubby bodies. Capstar, used along with a topical like Advantage, a flea comb and some housecleaning (remember to get rid of what has accumulated in the vacuum), should take care of any flea problem. Capstar is also safe enough for repeated dosage, and I have never seen a cat or even a small kitten adversely affected by taking it.

Living as I do in Southern California, the fleas seem to invade in the hot, muggy days of August, and even if your cats are indoor kitties like mine, they can get infected. One can bring fleas and/or their eggs and larvae in with your shoes, beach towels, etc. It is always good to be prepared in the warmer months with an ample supply of Capstar and a good quality topical. If you know any feral cats, they will also like having a Capstar slipped into some food for them, as it will at least temporarily alleviate the itchy flea hell they live in. If you see the slightest evidence of "flea dirt" in your home (minute black particles that are flea excrement, and actually dried blood from your pet), it's Capstar to the rescue! A miraculous product that both you and your pet will appreciate.

(More customer reviews)Our 2 and a half year old orange tabby Oliver died last night because of SERGEANT'S GOLD SQUEEZE ON FOR CATS flea and tick treatment. Oliver was an extremely healthy and loving cat. In a little more than 24 hours he went from playing with his favorite toy, a laser, to dead. On Wednesday August 31, 2010 we applied some of this horrible product. We followed the directions accurately. On Thursday he was acting different. He had been hiding all day and refused to play with his laser. That night we decided to take him to the emergency room for precautionary reasons. The veterinarian suggested we leave him in the hospital over night for observation. We left the vet's office at 10:45 PM. At about 12:00am, an hour and 15 minutes after we had left him we got a phone call from the hospital. That was probably one of the worst if not the worst phone call I've ever received. The vet said that we applied the medication correctly and that Oliver had only ingested a minimal amount of it. The problem was that his skin absorbed the product and it got into his bloodstream causing organ failure. There was nothing the veterinarians could do to save him. I could not sleep that night. I kept thinking about all the forums I readonline that I didn't believe. I honestly thought my cat was going to be just fine because he was eating and still came out of hiding for treats. Little did I know that this product was slowly killing him. PLEASE believe me when I say DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. The veterinarians told us that these over the counter products are NOT safe. I know that the flea medications that are prescribed by a veterinarians are expensive, but I would pay 10,000 times that to have Oliver back.Please please please spread the word about these medications. I've had animals my entire life and I never knew how dangerous they were. I don't understand how it is even allowed to be on the market. Sergeant's website even says that when used properly it is safe on animals. THIS IS A LIE. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Please find any other alternative to treat fleas. Because in the end I would take a flea infested Oliver as oppose to no Oliver at all.
